The MagnaFlow xMOD Series Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System with black chrome finish #19545 for the 2020-2021 Chevrolet Corvette C8 features all the modularity that MagnaFlow’s xMOD series is known for in a compact package engineered for extremely high performance and superior durability. Days of dyno and track testing were undertaken to ensure that this exhaust kit exceeds the performance of the stock system while enhancing the exhaust sound with MagnaFlow’s deep signature tone. In fact, MagnaFlow #19545 will boost the max power performance of your C8 by up to 18 hp and 17 lb. ft. of torque, as well as peak power gains of up to 12 hp and 13 lb. ft. of torque respectively.*
As an xMOD system, the sound can be configured to your liking. This is thanks to the easily swappable modules that give xMOD its name. In the case of the Corvette xMOD exhaust kit, owners can easily switch between MagnaFlow’s xTreme Delete straight pipe modules or the C8-specific muffler modules. Both modules feature NDT (No Drone Technology), which is how MagnaFlow cancels the natural droning frequencies of a vehicle to prevent tiresome droning noises at cruising speeds. One of the coolest features of the C8 is the optional performance exhaust, which features bi-modal exhaust valves to open or close a bypass valve leading directly to the tips in order to crank up the exhaust volume on a whim. At MagnaFlow we worked hard to make sure that this feature would carry over to our xMOD system for the C8 Corvette and retain its full functionality. A valve delete option is also included for owners who didn’t opt for the bi-modal exhaust package.
This Corvette performance exhaust kit features 3” mandrel bent tubing, premium V-band clamps, a Tru-X crossover pipe section, bi-modal exhaust valves, swappable xMOD modules and a quad-split rear exit with 4.5” black chrome finished tips. The entire system was created using CNC precision robotic manufacturing techniques and is covered by a limited lifetime construction warranty and one-year finish warranty. Being a mid-engine design, the new Corvette’s tightly packaged engine compartment only gets access to air already warmed from cooling other vehicle components such as the brakes. Extensive testing of the exhaust system and 3D scans of the entire vehicle led to improvements in the design of the heat shielding, including using custom CNC-produced aluminum shielding to draw heat away more quickly, as well as three custom-made heat shield wraps for the hottest sections of the system. The exhaust kit features a multi-metal design incorporating several grades of stainless steel, with grade 304 used most prominently. This is because 304 stainless steel blues nicely when exposed to heat, which is desirable in an exhaust system that is as visible as the one on your C8 Corvette. Exhaust kit #19545 features a direct-fit design and is engineered to bolt on easily for hassle-free installation.
*Reported wheel power figures measured on MagnaFlow’s in-house dynamometer with a US Spec 2020 Chevrolet C8 with the GM Performance Exhaust, using SAE correction and smoothing and an average of multiple runs. Results may vary depending upon environmental conditions, vehicle trim level, and vehicle health, operating conditions, temperatures, fuel grade, dyno type, dyno setup, other variables and other modifications.
